Blue Beauty Snake (Elaphe taeniura ssp.)
The Blue beauty snake covers parts of Thailand, Myanmar, and northern Vietnam. This is a larger species with an average length of 160-200cm with occasional specimens reaching 220cm. This taxon has a light blue/grey coloration that is unique within the beauty snake group. Blue beauty snakes are considered the most aggressive of the group, often assuming a defensive posture similar to that seen in Elaphe radiata.
