This species ranges from southern New Jersey through the Carolinas and Georgia. This is a large species with an average length of 180-240cm. The northern pine is one of North Americas largest Pituophis. This is an extremely strong and active species with a tremendous feeding response. The temperament can range from passive to aggressive and most will hiss when provoked.
