A very rare species in US collections, olivaceous is the largest member the genus Laisis available in captivity. Though a larger species, olivaceous is a gentle giant. Olive pythons have a calm demeanor and are inquisitive serpents giving the impression of greater intelligence than most pythons. Unlike other Laisis, the Olive python is a somewhat more difficult species to breed. We are working with 2.1 of these magnificent pythons and hope to one day add to their numbers.
