Ringed pythons are one of the most distinct python species. This is a terrestrial serpent that requires higher humidity that most species. Ringed pythons are a fast moving and sometimes defensive species. Though definitely not for novice keepers, this is a fascinating species to work with. Hatchlings are a vibrant orange and black with mature animals displaying more muted colors. This pythons is native to the Bismarck archipelago located northeast of Papua New Guinea. We are currently working with 2.3 specimens.
