Timor Python (Python timorensis)
Timor pythons inhabit the islands of Timor and Flores. Adult Timor pythons grow to 5-8 ft in length. Timorensis is unusual for a python in both appearance and behavior, which often is more like that of a colubrid. This is a very rare python with very little captive breeding success in the US and few imports contribute to the rarity of this species in collections. This is not a species for everyone and their habit of emptying their cloacal contents when handled as well as a very high metabolism make them demanding captives. But, if you are looking for something different then these could be for you. Our pair are F2 captive bred from unrelated F1 adults.
