White Lipped Python (Leiopython albertisii)
This is a medium, slender species of python, which averages 4 to 6 feet in length. This species is native to most of the island of New Guinea, some of the islands in the Torres strait and the Bismarck Archipelago. Future revisions will likely show 2 or 3 distinct taxons currently contained within albertisii. We are currently working with gold phase animals, referred to as the northern form.
